Sent automatically to members who join an unrestricted group, or whose membership in a restricted group has been approved. A Welcome notice is always sent to new members. If the group has not created and activated a custom notice, we activate and send a default. Go to Admin, Settings, Member Notices tab. There is a generic Welcome message that is sent out automatically. You can also set up a Welcome message Member Notice that will be sent out automatically if you checked the box next to "Active Message"
