Transferring files & photos from Yahoo to IO

Does anyone know about how long it takes to transfer the Yahoo group files and photos to IO? ?I set up a new IO account for my club last month. ?I cannot see any way to check on the progress of it, and the files still have not transferred.

Thank you.

Go to the transfer page at?/yahootransfer

Scroll to the bottom, click in the "In Process" box, and select your group from the drop-down menu.

There should be a grey status box at the top of the resulting page. Check that and report back on what it says.

Hope this helps,
Bruce

I suspect this means you need to contact [email protected]??...probably because your Yahoo group has more than 1 GB of files and photos.

See?/static/pricing?, in particular, the "storage" row.

Hope this helps,
Bruce?

Anita,

It says (mygroupname) (Needs your attention)

That means that the transfer agent sent you an email saying why your transfer is on hold, and giving you some choices as to how to proceed. It would have been sent to your email address (the one you use to sign in to Groups.io). Scour your Inbox, Spam and Trash for it.

If you can't find that message, then as Bruce said contact support for assistance.

Thank you, Shal & Bruce. ?

The only email I remember receiving was one that said, "?Yahoo Groups has been very unreliable lately. We will do our very best, but there is a good chance that we may not be able to transfer all of your messages, photos or files. We will tell you which ones we were not able to transfer. Also, the migration queue is several days long at this point. Please be patient as we work through the backlog of tranfer requests.¡± ?

I never saw an email that said anything about being unable to transfer my files and photos, even after checking Spam and Trash. ?But I did notice that the photos in my Yahoo group come to just over 1 GB, so I will delete some of?the?unnecessary photos to bring the storage?size down. ?Perhaps that will help. ?I¡¯ll give it a few more days, and if nothing happens, I'll contact Support is you have suggested.

Thanks again,
~Anita
