Hi Andy,
?
Thank you. Yes, they're being posted to the group as individual messages from individual members.?
So, the sender for each one is: FIRSTNAME SURNAME via groups.io ?
I've tried locking the topic on one of them, but I don't know if they're being grouped together as a topic, even though the subject line is the same in each case.

I don't see anything about "message recall" in Groups.io itself.
You say that several member accounts are trying to do message recalls in your group. Are they all real separate people?
Could you put your group on moderate temporarily so you can sort things out?

This will give you some breathing space and hold those messages in the Pending queue while the issue is sorted.

A member of my group used the "message recall" function I believe that's a feature of Outlook.? MS may have made a recent change since there have been a few complaints about these messages lately.? Those messages are NOT supposed to be sent to anyone not using Outlook/Exchange.

Lots of detailed information can be found in the Owners Manual and Members Manual. |
Dear Frances,
?
One person used "message recall" at her end, and then these error messages started being automatically generated in response. The accounts they come from are real people, but they haven't knowingly taken any action themselves. Fortunately, locking the topic does seem to have done the trick, though it's hard to prove a negative. Otherwise, I have the nuclear option to temporarily put all messages on moderate, as (the other) Andy suggests. |
