Rosswell -- That's correct. When set, email addresses are fig-leafed in the message archive (they are unaltered in outgoing emails). You already can.

Spencer -- The best way for an individual to handle this is to mute the corresponding hashtags. Having done so, they won't receive those notifications [by email] anymore.
