Arno, You may have better luck if you have LibreOffice export it as PDF, then attach the PDF file. LibreOffice's document format, while open, is not widely supported. Even DOC is a proprietary format

p.s. The issue has not been that the replies are not received. It's that, randomly, the pending members don't receive the Pending Subscription notice at all.
