Re: Moving photos from one album to another
Let me add one more vote to having this high on the Todo List.? Moving photos from one album to another by the administrator would be very helpful!

how to copy fotos from Yahoo Group to my server
I want to save a few of the fotos from the Yahoo-Group. Is there a way to copy them individually and upload them on my own server?

Re: Calender
I think it's important to note the difference between "Reminders" and "Notifications".? ?In general, I find the "Add Reminder" button to be by far the most flexible method, as Shal suggested.?

Re: messages between individuals
?In that case, a chat could work.? If you have a record, I don't see how it could be considered a Private Message though.

Re: Is there another way to start a poll?
?It was a separate menu item at one time.? Because it's just a 'special' form of Topic, it was incorporated into that part of the menu.

Re: messages between individuals
Thank you for the replies. Yes, we have been emailing directly. The thought behind my request was that it would be good for us to have a record of the side conversations in IO.

Re: Is there another way to start a poll?
Yes, but wouldn't it be easier and useful to have a Polls tab on the left menu?
Polls can be an interesting and powerful tool per se, I see them as something different from a Topic.

Re: Migration questions
Shal
Interesting and helpful
Can a group be private and unseen by the community generally, thus only available by invitation.
If so what happens if a new "owner" tries to use the same group

Re: messages between individuals
But these are mailing lists, so one could simply email the person.

Re: 2 Questions
Dave,
Hmm... I seem to recall there being log entries for this case. "Left group via system" or some such.
I joined my test group with a test account, intending to test this by deleting the test

Re: messages between individuals
The nearest thing that currently exists is the Chat function.? It's not private or one-on-one though.

Re: Migration questions
FredJ,
You need to set up your Groups.io group.
None of the group settings are copied from the Yahoo Group. Nor is the cover image, description, or other home page info.
