As you've discovered, bulk email delivery does not always happen in real time. Groups.io sends out emails promptly but that doesn't mean destination servers are always ready to receive and deliver

If you are talking about the sponsorship feature of a group, think of it this way. When you turn that on, it lets others pay for the group plan fees. Same as if you were paying. You are not part of

Open the member notice. Tick the "Send on Join" checkbox. Untick the "Send monthly to group" checkbox. Click "Update Notice" at the bottom of the page. There is no Active checkbox for member notices

Yes, yes and yes. Click on Hashtags on the left-side menu bar. Click "edit tag" on the #Monthly hashtag and change it to #MonthlyMeeting. Depending on usage you can then delete the #Meeting hashtag.
