In this region the cable provider was Time-Warner (now Spectrum), not Comcast. Due to ridiculous restrictions (4MB Inbox max, whitelisting, etc.) everyone I know who had TWC has switched to Gmail.

As long as the complete name is different, they're different groups.? MyTestGroup, MyTest, MyGroup, and TestGroup are not the same.? Enterprise groups can apparently use other names as aliases
