Renaming before deleting would be wise to just hit multiple random letters on the keyboard more than 12 characters.? This way, even a acronym for someone else could still be used as a group. example,

I am not entirely sure about the sequence you are trying to describe, but as your group appears to have a "UK" involvement are the messages in question coming from people with btinternet.com email
