I have not yet done this myself but I believe I understand how to do it.

You did the correct thing by using the Yahoo Groups Export members in CVS. Note that only Owners and Moderators can do this.

Now, take that saved file and import it into Excel. The file will have a csv file extension in the file name. Use the Excel Open function and first change the File Type to All Files. Find the membership.csv file where you saved it, select that file name and Open it in Excel. That will open a new worksheet and enter all the columns and rows you exported from Yahoo. For clarity, widen the columns so you can see all the complete email addresses.

That will get you a worksheet with multiple columns, one for each data field and a row for each member.

Select (highlight) the *data* in the email address column and Copy it to the clipboard. Don't copy the column header if there is one.

Open Notepad, or some other text-only editor, and paste in the copied column.

You might need to manually format it so that each email address is on just one line.

Save that Notepad file. This will ensure there are no formatting characters in the saved file, which will be a .txt file. Highlight the entire document now consisting of only email addresses and Save it to the clipboard. I believe you can paste that into the Invite box of your Group at groups.io.

I'm not sure of the maximum number of invites you can have per day at groups.io so it may be necessary to break up the saved Notepad file into smaller separate files to meet the groups.io limitation.

I have successfully done all this except actually pasting the copied Notepad data into the groups.io invite form.

Gosh, I hope this is all correct! I believe it is...

Would someone please step by step like you are?talking to a kindergartner LOL
?Now most of us know how to get to Management then Manage Members? I clicked on export CVS or whatever that was and what came up was yes member list? and email address but also date of join etc. How do I just do member names email address?
?Then going to IO group click on invite and paste to invite ?
?So where did I go wrong?
