You can buy flat single core of multi core RJ cable. ? Also a crimp tool and RJ45 terminal ends¡.crimp your own. ?Or try repairers to make them.

Just keep the battery out for a minute before replacing. That's needed for the capacitors to fully discharge, allowing all the settings to be completely wiped from memory resulting in a full reset.
