just musing...is it a failsafe?? Is it possible that after some time it refuses to park?? Is it possible the RTC and local Sidereal time have differences that the controller sees and thus failsafes not to park.
If this is true then you would think then gotoslews and park CWD would be off....they are not.? If the controller thought it had time discrepancies or had cumulative positional errors then this effects all pointing accuracy.
So...why.? It'll could possibly be a firmware code issue?? I wonder how the system behave in same way if the RS232 was disconnected and the system run by handset over a few days.
