ULINK 2 Availability

 

When this new Bootloader was announced, I immediately followed the link to Amazon and placed my order.? That was April 8.? As of this morning, it still has not shipped.? I am wondering if this item is somehow caught up in the "tariff wars".? I know this is not a critical Gemini update but I am one of the "M:" drive people and would like to not be one of those people.? I sure would like to be able to use the GFU for updates.

I did go to eBay and found this one.? Looks to be identical with the exception of the "RealView Tools by ARM" logo.? I compared the specs of both and they are identical so I did order one.? At least this one has already shipped and should be here by the weekend.

Has anyone else had this issue with availability?? Hopefully the unit that is en route from eBay will work.? That one was only $22 (their price went up after I placed my order).

Hi Chris, I suspect the new tariff policy is causing significant delays, especially for delivery from China. The unit you ordered from eBay should work just fine.

We'll see, I ordered from Amazon with a 7 day delivery date.? But Amazon vendors frequently promise one thing then deliver weeks late or sometimes never deliver on items like this.? I have had this happen more than once and Amazon is always willing to refund on stuff like this.? I think the Amazon system knows this is going on but the people do not want to police it too closely.??

Well if it takes that long I'll cancel the Amazon order and just roll down to Losmandy's shop and reprogram my G2 minis on their bench.? Maybe I should just cancel now, I need to go pickup a Loamandy dovetail for the M10" LX200 we're going to defork tomorrow.??

I successfully installed the new bootloader yesterday with the ULINK2 from eBay so the ULINK2 from Amazon will be returned once it gets here in the next day or two.? Certainly don't need two.
