Gemini/Nina connection issue

Yup you were right. Reinstalling Ascom platform and drivers did not work. I tried using a direct Ethernet connection and now NINA and the mount appear to be working fine together. ?It connects nearly instantaneously. ?I suspect that the usb ports on sub $200 Walmart brand laptop are not the best. ?

Just an aside, Chuck.
I use a Powered Hub on my telescope.
Have since I began over 10 years ago. Reason being, when I started out, with an unpowered hub, I got a lot of grief.
A friend suggested I use a powered hub.
Not any of the Johnny come lately ASI Air, or others. Just a clean Star Tech hub.
Anything that needs USB power gets it from the powered hub. (IE: Guide camera, Flats Panel, electronic filter wheel (EFW))
That way your computer (laptop) is not being overloaded trying to provide power to these things and trying to do the data justice.
?
How I've run my power scheme is a central power source with a 12 volt Bench Power Supply (25 amps) (Actual output is 14.3 VDC, or 14.2VDC loaded.)
I feed my mount and all 12 VDC devices with a #14 gage Zip Cord (15 Amp wire) and have all my needs daisy chained to that supply. So, everything gets all the power it wants.
The USB handles all the Data needs without being starved and interrupted for power.

Sonny,
?
I do exactly the same.? Same StarTech 7 port powered hub with a Pyramid bench supply. Never had a problem.
