G11 g2 tracking Issues


 

Last couple weeks erratic tracking in DEC with a periodic spike using PHD2 guiding very annoying any ideas what may be causing it, mount is over 10 years old and never been serviced but has generally been reliable, the balances is? perfect

I think it is time to strip down the mount and regrets it.

Actually I thought you were correct in the first instance if I stripped it down I might regret it :)


 

fully support the suggestion. take careful note (and a few photos, and lay out parts carefully) of the order of washers, spacers, bearings and the plastic clutch disc as you disassemble it.
