Try reading this website to create your own catalogs of objects.? It is in French so you will need to translate it but it is legit:? ??

I just created a Gemini catalog called abell.guc containing Abell Galaxy Clusters: /g/Gemini-II/files/User_Catalog_submissions/English%20Catalogs/abell.guc
?
Download abell.guc to your PC, first.?
?
Then, use your browser to view Gemini webpages, click on SD Card menu, open HCFirmware folder, and upload abell.guc file there. Then, disconnect and reconnect the HC and the new catalog will be transferred to the HC and will become available under Goto->Catalog Objects->Abell (should be near the end of the catalog list, since that's the newest one uploaded).
?
Enter object names as follows:? ?ACO followed by one or more digits representing the catalog object number. ACO56 is for example Abell Galaxy Cluster #56.
?
Let me know if you find any issues.
?
Regards,
?

I've created a number of catalogs for my own use, but it's not too hard with some of the online catalog search systems (like HEASARC from NASA) to export any type of catalogs or object lists in a format that can then be transformed into a .GUC file format for Gemini.?
?
Here's where I created the file for Abell galaxy clusters: ?

There are some options you'll need to select from that page (like not limit to 1000 entries, and the list of values you want to extract). The result can be exported to a text of Excel file and then further manipulated to produce the GUC format.
?

Oh wow that link is excellent?
?
thanks Paul

As always, thanks Paul.?? However... I'm but a visual guy with a Mac (no PC) which limits the kind of tinkering and other benefits you more advanced folks enjoy.

Martin, nothing I suggested requires Windows. You can do everything from a Mac with a browser

All you need is an Ethernet connection to the Gemini 2.? The vast majority .of Gemini 2 users have no idea how advanced and flexible the Gemini 2 is.? There is a whole other world in there to explore and see that hand controller users have no idea about, they only see the tip of the iceberg.?
