Gemini 2 and PEMPRO

Rex Groves

Hi,

I've been in contact with CCDware about the Gemini 2 and its interface with the PEMPRO PEC correction. The discussion was the following

Hi

I have the new Gemini 2 Controller and PEMPRO connects to the Gemini and collects data fine. Writing to the mount gives me a couple of issues.

1) Though the PEC On/Off buttons are there, I cannot turn PEC on from the program. If I turn it on in the ASCOM driver, it still shows "off" when connected to the program.

2) Though it appears that the corrected curve is being written to the mount when instructed, if I click the showed saved PEC button, it only shows one line with a normal (6400) under the value count.

I'm choosing Gemini V4 for the mount though I'm using the latest ASCOM driver for the Gemini 2. Should it be something else?

What am I missing?

Rex

Hi Rex,

According to Dr. Goerlich the command protocol has not changed for Level V so it is likely that the implementation is not completed. Last I read was that the PEC implementation was still not completed in the Gemini 2 firmware. Can you double check that this is still true?

Do we have an update on this?

Thanks..Rex
