Re: Gemini II hand box cable type and max length
Here is the concept I have for your observatory. Use a good managed USB hub with power on the telescope like a Pegasus Pocket Powerbox Advance Gen 2 with all your USB peripherals like cameras, filter
Re: Gemini II hand box cable type and max length
Here is the router to use in the COLD room by the pier.? This is the best compromise between Wi-Fi speed and feature balance for this use.? I use this on my garage imaging system with a new style

Re: Can these mounts guide at 0.37" rms and below?
I would not expect that level of accuracy on a naked mount unless you have a PEC loaded into the mount - maybe. One simply uses PemPro on a Windows PC to create that. Losmandy RA gear is the issue.

Re: Can these mounts guide at 0.37" rms and below?
Yes Losmandy mounts can guide reliably under 0. 5" RMS but unless you are imaging at 14,000 feet and have perfect conditions the mount regardless of brand will never be the imaging limitation

First off, no internet is needed for the ethernet connection.? I'll repeat, NO internet is required. This is a common misconception that you must have internet to connect via ethernet.? You do not.

John it sounds like you got the hang of it now, but I'm finally back home and I've attached my NINA Advanced Sequencer Dawn SkyFlats template in case anyone else wants to try it out. This works

Received wisdom is that below 0.5" you are atmosphere-limited.

Can these mounts guide at 0.37" rms and below?
Hi, I'm looking to buy a mount that guide my reduced C8 (1450mm, 0.5"/px) at 0.37" rms or better. see this link for details: https://www.astrowithroro.com/guiding 203 mm aperture, 1450mm focal length,

Re: Gemini II hand box cable type and max length
Hi sctom1, The hand controller cable is actually an RS232 (serial) communications cable. If you use it at 9600 baud, serial cable can be fairly long, 15m or longer. A lot? depends on cable

Hi Ron, I use N.I.N.A. and connect to my mount with USB also and I don¡¯t recall this having happened before so, I¡¯d say it¡¯s not a N.I.N.A. issue :). My first thought is, are you trying to use

Re: NINA Sequence and Park at Zenith
You would likely want 90/270 so that the mount continues to track westward from the meridian with counterweights down.
