I have a 2001 model year Gemini with the RJ45 motor connectors. Where do I get the adapter cables for those motors for use with the G2?
Thanks

Re: Hi from Mexico
Hi Ren¨¦,
Thanks for the prompt answer. Well yes I would like to have one new Gemini II, but an investment of US $ 1,095.00 + shipping costs is just too much just for testing. Sorry ...
I have a

Re: Info
Tom,
Well, that's a good idea and even better news. I've lurked over at the G1 group and there seemed to be a agreement to keep a spare motor for the eventual burnout. That's where that thought came

OK! Seriously, had not heard about the web interface. That is particularly awesome.

Re: About the ASCOM driver for Gemini
I'm a little confused by this... why would I use those specific addresses? Is the GII not capable of DHCP? I ask as my network isn't even NEAR that subnet :-).
Thanks,

no not yet. It has a fixed IP. You can change it, but first you are going to have to use the static IP that is assigned the Gemini to address it. You will have to
do this every time you update

Re: About the ASCOM driver for Gemini
As long as it's changeable, I'm cool with it, though obviously DHCP would be the bee's knees. :-)
It's Erik, by the way, I don't know why, but yahoo seems bound and determined to hide my identity (I

Future tech directions?
So, here's a question...
As we may all recall, until we knew of the existence of GII, there was much talk of options. One of the obvious candidates was of course the SiTech system. I presume such

Re: MI-250 Motors, Gear boxes, Gemini II Info
Tom,
First of all, thanks so much for the tremendous amount of time that you must be putting into this and the MI-250 group. I know that it is not a trivial amount of work.
Second, I have a quick

I don't think they were the rebuilt motors. They were the stock motors that Losmandy supplied him as far a I know.

Re: MI-250 Motors, Gear boxes, Gemini II Info
PS
can we move any discussion about the motors for the MI-250 over to the MI-250 users group. That is really where it should be held.

Re: Future tech directions?
I'd be very interested in what Ren¨¦ has to say on the topic. I think it could be done without gearing using a Heidenhain (maybe a 23-bit encoder) mounting it directly to the rear of the RA

Re: MI-250 Motors, Gear boxes, Gemini II Info
I have had 2 G11 Motors fail, one was a cap blowing up, the other was a 5 month old motor that the brushes were badly mis-aligned and not enough pressure against the commutator (low output power).
