Our original group, GeigerCounterEnthusiasts is still the main chat page for nuclear decay detection discussions.
Another Yahoo Group HomeRadLab is the compendium section, and it contains a synopsis of?the basic articles about Home Lab radiation detection. HomeRadLab would be a good place to start your studies, but please do not post anything there, use GeigerCounterEnthusiasts for discussion and chat. ?

This page has been initiated to provide memory space for the Gamma ( and other) spectrum displays that are the results of
our Home Lab studies of Energy Levels as they relate to Gamma signatures of radioactive samples of all types, including natural and man-made. Pictorial views of key lab setups will also be shown.
Here we will endeavor to design and lay out experiments that are geared toward the Home Lab operator, using simple or inexpensive equipment fro easy duplication. In some cases, we own VERY expensive equipment, but it has been obtained on the surplus market for very little investment.

In all cases, we are dedicated to examining the highest level of science that can be accomplished in a Home Lab environment, while at once making the explanations and setups easily understood by?High School students with the aid and encouragement of their Science/Physics teachers.
