BEACH Family Photographs
I have two old studio photographs belonging to the BEACH Family of New York. The photographs are of Allie BEACH and Fred A. BEACH which were both taken in the 1860's to 1870's. Allie's photo was taken at the Harter's Fine Art Gallery in Auburn, NY in the 1860's most likely with Allie appearing to be about 11- 13 years old at the time. The second photograph is one of Fred A. BEACH of Palatka, FL and dated 21 Oct 1875 with Fred appearing to be in his teens at the time. The photograph of Fred was taken at the McClellan & Van Studio in Auburn, NY as well. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding these two and their family: Allie V. BEACH was b. 1854 at Cayuga County, NY or Jackson County, MI to parents Andrew Jackson BEACH (1829-1890) and Susannah “Susan” Permelia SANDERS (b. 1830) who were married 6 Oct 1852 in Bristol County, MA. Allie was one three children born to this couple including siblings, George Ullman or Ulman BEACH (1856-1943) and Frederick “Fred” Andrew BEACH (1861-1943). Her brother Fred was b. 26 Aug 1961 to the same parents and married Edith ROWLEY (1876-1945) on 7 Apr 1897 in Palatka, FL and they had three children including, James Rowley BEACH (1902-1956); Jennie Laura BEACH (1906-1926); and Helen M. BEACH (b . 1908). Fred died 12 Jan 1943 and is buried in the Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park Cemetery in Savannah, GA. I am hoping to get these photographs back to family and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or you know someone who might be. Thanks, Shelley

William Mein in Savannah about 1796
William Mein is one of our family from the Scottish county of Roxburgh. He appears in Savannah in the 1790's with his brother Robert and later his brother Alexander. We have viewed many newspaper adverts for their merchant business. Cannbanyone help find the death of Robert MEIN in late 1797? We believe he left a will. We are new to this area of USA and would appreciate any help and advice on sources. Regards Robin & Margaret near Lanark Scotland
