G6LBQ MK2 Exciter PCB - Pre Order 4
Hi Everyone The database for pre-order of the G6LBQ MK2 Band-Pass Filter PCB has proven to be a success so I have now created a further database for registering interest to pre-order the Mk2 Exciter PCB The database list is accessible to all members of the group so you can keep an eye on the level of interest registered. I will need a minimum of 10 confirmed orders for PCB’s before I can place a manufacturing order. All members who have registered there interest on the database will be contacted by email once there is sufficient interest to consider placing a manufacturing order for the PCB’s. In the email, I will confirm the PCB cost, shipping costs and you will have the opportunity to confirm your order. Please note that any member you registers there interest on the database can remove themselves from the list should they wish to do so. Access to the Group Databases is via the feature list on the left hand side of your screen between the files section and Wiki section. Once you are in the Databases section you will see the heading Request for G6LBQ MK2 BandPass Filter PCB?? click on this to view the database. If you want to add yourself to the database and register your interest just click the green button that says “+Add Row” Next fill in the two required fields and finish off by clicking the blue button that says “+Save Row” I have added myself to the database so you get an idea of how it appears. ? Other PCB's to be made available for pre-order. 7
Hi Everyone Just a quick note to let you all know that I will be adding more databases soon so you can register your interest to pre-order Low-Pass Filter PCB's and HF Linear Amplifier PCB's. When I originally designed the MK2 Low-Pass Filter module I wanted it to be universal so I created a PCB that could be populated with component options that rated it for low power use 10-20 Watts, or high power use 100 Watts plus. ?I am going to re-design the low-pass filter PCB for 10-20 Watt rating only, this will allow me to reduce the PCB size, use smaller relays and reduce the overall build cost. The new Low-Pass filter will become the MK3 and will also be used in the Irwell transceiver project currently under development. I do have a small quantity of the MK3 HF Linear Amplifier PCB's in stock, this amplifier was developed to interface with the MK2 Exciter and take care of all the RF switching paths but is also a great universal HF Linear Amp for use with other projects including the Irwell Transceiver that is under development. Stay tuned for more information and announcements! Regards Andy de G6LBQ

MK2 BandPass Filter PCB - Pre Order 6
Hi Everyone It is great to see a good deal of interest in the MK2 BandPass filter PCB’s and In order that I can track the interest, I have created a simple database where users can register to pre-order. The database list is accessible to all members of the group so you can keep an eye on the level of interest registered. 开云体育 has the power to permit database creation within the group so I have made use of this feature. Access to the Group Databases is via the feature list on the left hand side of the 开云体育 interface between the files section and Wiki section. If all goes well and there are no burning issues with the database I will add additional databases so members can register their interested in the other transceiver PCB’s. ? Regards Andy de G6LBQ

BITx VERSIONS 4
Hi Andy, I'm a little (to tell the truth, a lot) confused about the BitX versions. I recentely bought in eBay a set of pcb bare boards labeled MKI. What are the differences between the MKI and MKII versions. Are the set of boards completely different? Where can I found the specific files for this versions? Regards, 73 Paulo Borensztein PU1PBE

Schematic version? 2
Hi Andy and group, ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? I recently came across the multiband exciter and am currently laying out a board for my own use. After reading through some of the messages there seems to be mention of a newer schematic. ?The schematic I am working from is Revision 1.2B dated ?18th August 2013. ?I have seen a mention or two of a schematic Revision 1.6 dated 14 February 2015 and was wondering where I could find a copy of this updated schematic? Great job on the exciter Andy. I also thank you for adding me to the group I love reading about your projects. ?? Thank You ? ?Ian ?K3HQL

The Groups io Move and updates. 2
Hi everyone First of all I would like to wish everyone a happy and prosperous 2017. I am pleased the move to 开云体育 went smooth and without any apparent problems, so far I am finding 开云体育 to be excellent and I like the modern interface and integrations. During 2016 my contribution to the group was minimal and in general it was a year I am glad to put behind me, in short it was a year we had bereavement and then Jaynes mother and my father were both diagnosed with cancer, needless to say we spent a lot of time at hospitals in 2016 and continue to do so. Last year I had little time or inclination to pursue my hobbies of radio & electronics but I am determined to get back on track during 2017. You can expect to hear more news on the development of my Irwell Multi-mode Transceiver project very soon as I am about to resume work on the main audio module. The mcHF transceiver I began building late 2015 is now up and running, I completed both the UI and RF boards during the festive period and all that remains for me to do now is a few modifications and finish the casing up. I will be glad to get the lid on the mcHF transceiver as it has sidetracked me from getting on with my own project development! ? ?For those interested I will post some pictures of my mcHF transceiver over the weekend. I did start a blog in 2016 with the intention of posting news, snippets & images of stuff I am working on but it never got going properly due to the events of last year. I am going to make consciousness effort to pick up the blog where I left off and for those interested the web link is:?https://g6lbq.blogspot.co.uk/? ?I started the blog by documenting how my journey into the world of radio and electronics started off and it is here where I must return and conclude before getting stuck in to the nuts and volts :) Enough for now and my thanks to everyone who has stayed with the group during the quiet times! G6LBQ Yahoo Group is moving! 3
Hi Everyone For some time now Yahoo Groups have been getting increasingly worse and slow to navigate. Also in recent times there have been concerns about the security and privacy of Yahoo Groups. ?There is uncertainty if the Yahoo Groups will even continue as a result of the Verizon Yahoo take over. In view of the above I am moving the G6LBQ Yahoo Group over to 开云体育 Hopefully the move to 开云体育 will happen in the next 24 hours and everyone who is a member of the G6LBQ Yahoo Group will receive a welcome email from 开云体育. All of the existing files, photo's and messages will move across to 开云体育 during the transfer process. IMPORTANT... Whilst all of the members will be moved from Yahoo Groups to Goups.io It is my understanding that your password used to log-in to Yahoo Groups will not be transferred. ?Once you receive the notification email from 开云体育 that the G6LBQ Yahoo Group has moved you will have to create a new password for logging into 开云体育. 开云体育 is dedicated to groups only and has some great powerful features,?In the long-term we will be much better off at 开云体育, the interface for 开云体育 is better and access to photo's and files is much quicker. I hope everyone will welcome the move to 开云体育 Kind regards Andy de G6LBQ

: Digital VFO Si570 Software Availability
Hi Larry Yes the only part of the original project that was not open source was the Firmware IC on the SI570 Digital VFO. There are lots of designs freely available on the internet for Arduino driven DDS/VFO's just make sure that the design you choose can provide sufficient output to drive a Double Balanced Mixer (ADE-1) or add a suitable buffer stage to deive the DBM. Any further questions please do not hesitate to post a message in the forum. Regards Andy de G6LBQ

Digital VFO Si570 Software Availability
After reviewing the G6LBQ (All_Things_Multiband) File folder info, it appears the only build info which? is not open source for personal amateur radio use is the Digital VFO Si570 Software. ? Is this true or do I need to review another folder of info in File section? If it is true, then my first step on the Multiband project is to use an Arduino (Nano or ProMini) to implement the Si570-based software using the Digital VFO Si570 schematic and Operation Manual as a starting point guide.
