Another possible solution
While investigating other G4KLX based packages.... Tom Early N7TAE (and company) developed QNetGateway (). A user, Stefan MI0PYN, had suggested and documented what it would take for him to build QNetGateway on top of a G3 system. I am uploading that documentation to the Files section here now.

This group is for the ircDDBGateway project that works with Icom D-STAR gateway packages. The ircDDB routing addon is a completely different product.
Attached is a document you can use to add on the ircDDB addon for K3WRB and?
Do you have your old “key” and/or copy of the “properties” file?

The Perl script file was a utility tool to import the dstarmon.properties file in to the equivalent format for the ircddb addon. If you have the previous version of ircDDB.properties from your G2 system, you would not need to run this perl script.

I was tryning?to run the script? but I got some errors.
I have download?the file then?I have done ? ? chmod 755 ? ? ? ?./?
And I got a lot?of errors, one of them is complaining about the location of Pearl. Do I need to install any additional software in order to run the script?

It is possible that Perl was not installed in the location the perl script is expecting it. You can look at the Perl script itself and see if it is the same location as installed on yours.
What is the call sign of the system you are running the ircddb addon on?
Is your installation of the G3 version of ircddb not working? Are you getting an error from either of the services that tells you it cannot read the ircDDB.properties?
Remember, you can check the status of the two components….

Hello Terry,
The G3 repeater call sign is CQ0DLX. At the Ircddb web page, I only have the server with green light, the repeater is red. So I'm assuming that I need to finish the Ircddb addon configuration.? This is a new repeater G3? build from scratch, with database recover, because we can't locate the old server. I have follow the procedure mention on the text file, and didn't run the script. I will try to install the pearl on the server and try to run it again.

Somemting is not rigth at the IRCddb page, ?  As you can see the CQ0DLX B is identified as MMDVM, the CQ0DLX A? as no id.  The heartbeat is red, and the system info is OK!!  There is any admin page to login at ircddb?

I have seen this heartbeat behavior on a couple of our G3 systems as well. Once I restarted the ircddbd3 and ircddbmhd3 processes over again, it cleared. It is possible that the service “goes to sleep” once in awhile. Hans-DL5DI had mentioned it quite awhile ago.
This particular groups.io group was created to support the “blending” of the Icom G2/G3 D-STAR gateway software with the ircDDBGateway software and not for supporting the ircDDD network Icom addon package. More on that project can be seen at?
You may have to reach out to Hans-DL5DI himself. The addon product has moved off his focus and is not actively supported.
