Bowel cancer
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHello Sandra ? What helps when you have low iron on the Budwig protocol? ? Thanks, Tammy ? ? Sent from for Windows ? From: Sandra Olson via groups.io

Hi Tammy,
To build the amount of iron in your body, eat beans, lentils, or chickpeas daily in your salad at lunch and/or with grains at dinner. Also, other foods that have a good amount of iron are spinach, pumpkin seeds, raisins, quinoa, unsweetened dark cocoa, and molasses Dr. Budwig included all of these foods in her diet. If you have trouble digesting beans, start with a small amount and build your intake over time. Kind regards, Sandra |

I just want to add a couple to Sandra¡¯s wonderful list of foods. One of the fastest ways to raise your iron levels is to add seaweed to your diet. Especially wakame and spirulina. I usually order organic dried wakame from Amazon (online health stores like vitacost have it too). Then at home you just need to soak it in water for 20 minutes ?and cook it any way you like, salad, soup, whatever. Spirulina usually comes in powder, so you can add it to smoothies, juice or yogurt. I¡¯ve always had low iron and these two foods have made a big difference for me.? Also, keep in mind that often the underlying reason is poor gut health. Focus on improving the gut lining and you¡¯ll see a big difference. That¡¯s why sauerkraut is such a huge part of the Budwig diet. It¡¯s also really helpful to add aloe vera, ?dandelion greens and astragalus to your daily diet. They improve the absorption of all nutrients through the gut. Especially astragalus has been a game changer for me. I no longer need to take iron pills every day.? I hope this is helpful to you. All the best, - Ivanka?
