Budwig and other protocols

?It seems that the Budwig/Focc is conservative in the sense that you can not deviate from it too much.? I am following it as closely as possible with exception of the sauerkraut juice (I was looking into an alternative to that)? That being said, I take certain medications and some supplements (possibly unnecessarily as they may not do much) and have been concerned they may interfere with results.? I read somewhere in the bio Budwig that they had a clinic in Sweden (?)? ?where there was a 90% cure rate, and it seems the least offensive of all the protocols, up to and including "standard of torture" (oops I meant care) protocols, fasting for 45 days, using drugs off use (getting a dr to prescribe in the us is impossible) IVC (expense) etc.
But with Budwig, has anyone successfully integrated other techniques on occasion?? There was a man named Guy Hoffman (from Dr. Berg fame) who fasted for 45 days and cured his prostate cancer,? but later I found out that he had testosterone/adt? therapy (chemical castration)? so to me that negates his success, and I have seen this with other protocols on mixing and matching with standard of care,? is Budwig one of the few that could be classified as "stand alone"?
