I have most of my records and a few years back bought a portable player so my kids could actually listen to them, they thought it was pretty cool.?

Our tapes and CDs have gone the way of all flesh though.

That's easy for you to say - you've still got your youth!

This subject came up talking to a friend in Austin. He studied to be a concert pianist and he has always been a Hi-Fi nut playing stereo music all the time. When you go over to his house he plays a record for you and you better not talk when it's playing! He's got some vintage Marantz equipment and some Klipsh speakers with a Thorens TD-124 turntable and a Grado stylus tracking at 1.5 grams.Sounds good to me.

He must have 2000 records stacked up in his closet.

He recently bought a Kia Soul and he was complaining about it not having a CD player. He refuses to listen to talk radio. So he got hisself a USB drive so he could listen to MP3 tunes, sequentially, using the Aux port on the car radio. He said it was a "Low-Fi" setup. YMMV.

I said, "You can't even hear a dog whistle with all that road noise driving around in your little red box-car!"

Investors are looking for the next Netflix or the next Disney. And just like they uncovered Netflix while you were still paying late fees at Blockbuster, they have found the one “behind the scenes” stock that just might give Netflix a run for its money. Go figure.

Article on Forbes the other day that people are canceling their streaming subscriptions in record numbers now that they aren't locked down.? Research has shown that people don't like to spend any more than $22 a month on streaming subscriptions.? Some of the "me toos" will probably not make it.? Ad supported free streaming has become more popular as long as there are no more than 5 minutes of ads per hour and they don't keep repeating the ads.? Just hit your mute button during the ads and you're realize how insipid they are without the audio as well as less bother.

The networks are upping their sound quality for streaming.? Amazon particularly and now I'm getting it on Hulu.? And yeah, I'm listening through Klipsch speakers too.? Not many UHD discs of new movies.? That platform has shifted to collectors and scanning of old films.? "Alien" looks very nice on UHD BD.

Law 4: Non-stupid people always underestimate the damaging power of stupid individuals. In particular non-stupid people constantly forget that at all times and places and
under any circumstances to deal and/or associate with stupid people always turns out to be a costly mistake.
