Who, exactly, is at the helm and how the fucking hell do we get into a head space where we feel even a teensy weensy bit of control over our destinies? We have woken up to a nightmare and it isn't going away any time soon. My solution at the moment is to try and stop reading and watching the news. I need a break. The only thing I really want to read about is trump flailing for his life in court.

I think a lot of people hoped (not "thought"—particularly after he was elected) that he would respond to the gravity of the responsibility, learn on the job and take the advice of experts.? I never thought for a second he would do any of that either.? That was also an explanation a lot of Republicans told themselves to help excuse his ignorance, behavior, and their vote.?
