CPR H-16-44 scrapped

Hello
I read a few months ago in a Rapido Trains online newsletter that the ex Canadian Pacific H-16-44 8554 was scrapped.? Other websites said this was done on-site along with two FM C-Liner B units at an old natural gas plant near Mazeppa, Alberta.? It's sad news, and I though I searched for news stories of these locomotives being saved at the last minute, I believe they are gone now.? Does anybody know how organizations like Heritage Park in Calgary, or the Alberta Railway Museum in Namao let this happen?
?
Martin Iftody?
Toronto, Ontario?
Canada?

I don't have reasonable info, but it's not surprising.? But if true, we know what it's about:
?
Reliable legend: the Ingalls diesel (*)was offered to a historical society (GM&O, IRM??)for about $3000, and they couldn't come up with the money so it, the one and only, was scrapped.??
?
*if anyone on this group is not familiar with the one and only Ingalls diesel let me know.??
?
Frank

That's a shame.? The Ingalls diesel looked cool.
