Zebra problem: lcd spare part will all the pixels
Ronald E Smith
Hi Giuseppe.? ?YES !? ?I purchased 4 of them last year.? I have installed 3 of the 4 already into customer radios. No missing Pixels and are excellent.
?
They are a bit pricey... but they work Perfectly.? Easy to install and fit right onto the existing Plastic Backplane when you take the old screen off.

Thank you Ronnie,
good to know. Probably a wise investment if you plan to keep the radio, and why not to pass to a possible seller anyway. Back to my new acquisition, albeit being a fervent Yaesuist, I am testing a IC-751A in these days(heretic!). Shopping filters/TCXO and so on, that was when I run into the lcd. -- Giuseppe Marullo IW2JWW - JN45RQ |

Giuseppe.
?
Yes, I thought others would like to know.? They are a 100% perfect replacement.
?
Enjoy that 751A.? I have used and repaired many.? They just don't make them like that anymore.? The audio is just brilliant.??
?
Like the Yaesu FRG-7 ( with upgraded IF Filters) you cannot beat the sound out of a set like that.

I bought one from Ham Radio Outlet years ago. The eBay item is a lot cheaper. It is about $200 from HRO. I don't know about quality of the eBay item, but it looks to be an exact replacement. I don't plan on getting rid of my FT857D. It is a great mobile/portable rig. I use mine as an IF rig on 144 and 432 MHz for microwave and millimeter-wave transverters. I also use an FT817ND, but the 857 has a few more bells and whistles, like DSP, which really comes in handy.? A lot of microwavers are also using the IC-705 now, but I'm not ready to spend that much money on a rig just yet. The one thing I've wished I had is a spectrum display. I think I've figured out how to do that with a Raspberry Pi and a small display, and a Funcube dongle. 73, Zack W9SZ On Mon, Feb 17, 2025 at 11:38?PM Justin Poole via <jpoole1231=[email protected]> wrote:
