Won¡¯t turn on but relay clicks

The relay clicks but the radio won¡¯t power up. I checked the fuses and everything is okay. Anyone else have this issue? ?

I've had this problem for 6 months and can't find?
a solution. When I turn my Radio on it cycles on/off until I turn it off and reprogram it.
If I use the clone/ download I can use my rt system to reprogram
the radio and it works as normal all day. I just turn off the radio at night?
and when I turn it on I just put in clone mode.

Have you checked the power supply voltage at the radio under load?

I recall a similar problem when a friend asked me to sell his FT857 years ago, but he kept the mic with the number pad and installed the original mic. The radio would not turn on. I plugged in my number pad mic and reset the mic selection in the menu to get it going and it was fine after that.

Just remove the mic jack and restart. Like this problem I could overcome by this method.

Remove the mic and re connect then switch on?the rig and try

Unplug everything and then switch on. There is data going around some of those leads. This will eliminate the leads.

Everything is unplugged from the radio except the head (used both the long and original cables) with no positive result. The relay clicks and nothing until I hit the power button or plug in power again.?

The power supply is powering my Yaesu FT DX10 without any issues.?

My 857D turns on but then the relay clicks and
it cycles on & off until I disconnect the power.
Only way to keep it on is to clone then reprogram with rt systems
then it will run with no problems.

If you are using the Yaesu original power cable, check the connector, remove the connection and reconnect?it firmly. At times the connector also gave me problems.
