KE5EOT All Messages By This Member #52795 开云体育 Option 19 sets the CAT baud rate. The options are 4800, 9600, and 38400. Optipn 73 sets the packet baud rate. The options are 1200 and 9600. I'm not sure which one VARA Wide uses. HB All Messages By This Member #52796 开云体育 The packet setting should be set to 9600 baud. It has nothing to do with the CAT baud rate.? Make sure your 6 pin data cable is wired for the 9600 baud pin on the 857. Some cables have both the 1200 and 9600 baud pins wired. My experience with the 857D has shown that both pins wired together will degrade the received signal.? Make sure you have a good sound card that can perform for FM wide. Most signalinks have too narrow a range unless it’s the newer design. I’ve had excellent luck with the Masters Communications boards and the Timewave Navigator and PK-232sc+.? Good luck.? The baud rate selected uses a different pin for 1200 or 9600. The amplitude of the audio signal is different between the two, that's all I could find when searching years ago.? Joshua KJ7LVZ
