Good evening folks,
This week I went to my radio's? AM broadcast stations to listen to local radio. ? They are programmed in along with local FM as well as the usual simplex and repeater frequencies. ?
What I got in the way of audio was very low volume and highly distorted. This was on all three stations I checked. I changed the wire antenna to a different one with no change in behavior. ?
All the rest of the bands and modes appear to be fine.? FM broadcast, SSB and digital modes for example.?
Can anyone suggest a menu item I may have accidentally changed which would cause this?? Ive looked at all 91 or so without any obvious changes.?
73 and thanks in advance.

It sounds like you are trying to listen to AM using the FM
decoder.? Are you sure the rig is set to AM?

Yes, definitely on AM.? Checked via both the radio mode button and via FLdigi rig control several times. Changing mode gives a significantly loude volume but distorted as you would expect.
