Uneven power on HF bands.
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThe first question is are you measuring
this into a dummy load or into and antenna?? If memory serves me
correctly, you will see a bit of power drop, into a dummy load on 12 and
10 meters, probably between 90 - 95 watts maximum, in CW with key
down.? This is normal with most? solid state radio these days.? I think
my 857 gives me around 93 watts on 10 meters. wm lewis wrote on 6/18/2022 07:42: Is the rig hooked up to a tuner/antenna or a dummy load. Could be a mismatch using tuner/antenna combo.Rig will automatically roll back power to protect finals. A 1:1 swr does not mean a 50 ohm load just a low reflected signal. -- Jeff K. into this discussion . You could have anything from a Plug to a relay to and SWR unit in line causing a minute amount of + or - j being seen by the Rig . On 19/06/2022 4:47 pm, Adrian Fewster wrote:
I disagree, the 1:1 swr does mean a 50 ohm resistive load. 50 + 0j. |
