Lost RF in middle of Tune

I have my 857D hooked up into a YT-100 LDG tuner.? Now, when ever I try to tune on freq, I dont hear the relays clicking anymore and the the LED on the LDG flashes 4 times.? According to the manual that means that RF was lost in middle of tune.? So does that mean my finals are out in my radio?? Or something else?? Help.

Try taking the tuner out of line and put a power meter on it or dummy load with a power meter in it. and see what it says.

Doug, have you resolved your LDG tuner issue? ?My LDG AT-200Pro (connected to my 857D) has a similar malady. ?It has not been used for a while and I thought the relays might suffer from not being used but I can hear them click when I manually tune with the C UP / C Dn / L Up / L Dn buttons. ?No output on a cross-needle SWR / power meter. ?Antenna is a 135¡± dipole fed with 450 ohm and is tunable using another rig (KX3).

I alwsys start at the beginning. First, take the tuner out of line. Hook the radio to awatt meter and dummy load.
Put it in the AM mode. With your power set to maybe ten watts. Key it. You should see 10 watts and 1:1 swr.
If you do, the radio works, you may have a tuner, or antenna problem.?
What antenna are you using, is it possible your antenna just isnt being "tuned" by the tuner, that it is just way off?

No I have not found the problem.? I dont have a watt meter so I cant try the watt meter and dummy load idea that everyone seems to say.? I am trying to reach out to my local club to see if anyone have one.? Thanks for checking.

Doug,

What is your callsign and location. I'm certain someone could help with the appropriate equipment.?

Well it would seem that my problem was my antenna..........? I had a short in it that caused the radio to go into some kind of a protection mode.? How I figured it out was I did a factory reset, then took it to a friends and hooked it up to his antenna....... worked like a charm.? So then I borrowed a antenna analyzer and found my antenna was reading 10 to one.? Changed the mounting bracket and I am good.? Thanks for the suggestions.
