Interface to FT-857D Control head

Does anyone know where I might be able to find the protocol between the radio and the control head of my Yaesu FT-857D? I need to do a frequency display and a few other things while the radio is remoted in the trunk. I don't want to run that much extra wire to use data from the CAT port. Harley Burton N5BFB |

Take a look at this ... I've been working with it a it but? \this is my forst forray with this kind of programming. I'm going to use this controller - because it already has two hardware optical shaaft encoder inputs. Seems the perfect controller, with a nice programmable LCD. I'm doing this because I have the dreaded bad lines in my display ... Please ping me if you make any progress!!! Tracy N4LGH |
