A long press on the select knob would bring up the pressed indicator on the screen but turning the knob did nothing. The memory group did not change. Was able to locate this on Eham from 2004. Hope it helps someone else. ? “To set up memory groups you must hold down the FUNC button to enter the memory settings. ?Then turn menu option 55 to ON. Then, so you can change banks set menu option 57 to MHz/MEM GRP. You will notice now in memory mode instead of for example M-001 it will be Ma-01. ?When you set memories now you have the choice of banks a-j with 20 memories in each. ?In memory mode when you want to change banks, just press the select button in and turn it to the desired bank. ?Hope this helps.” ? Menu item 57 got changed somehow and now everything works as it should.
