I am using 9600 but 38400 works also on my
FT-857D (after changing need to switch off and on the radio).
Anyway as Unni wrote and it is something I have never noticed
because I always use cat display mainly for a better VFO. But
when changing the menu (Mfa to Mfq) it is NOT display on
catdisplay UNTIL you switch off and on the radio... And for Menu
mode n¡ã display, the change appears on cat display only after
long pressing again the FUN button ( i.e. backing back to VFO
display)...
So with a very bad zebra display, it is sure that it is not
enough good / responsive to make any changes from the menus, and
using 38400 instead of 9600 don't resolve the problem
