All, Public observing night at Maybury State Park 49601 Eight Mile Rd, Northville, MI 48167 Saturday, August 10th 8 PM Join us and watch the Perseid Meteor Shower This event is free and open to the public.? You do not need to be a club member. You do need a State Park Permit Want help with your telescope? ? Bring it along and club members can help you with it.? Let us know by emailing info@... and we can often arrange to have someone meet you at the park a bit earlier to help you get the scope working by sunset. Don't own a telescope?? No problem.? Most astronomers at the event are happy to let you look at objects through their scopes (please ask to make sure you aren't interrupting something important before looking). IMPORTANT: ?These observing nights are "weather permitting" and depend on clear skies.? They may sometimes be rescheduled in favor of a better night if the original night is forecasted to be cloudy.?
