F-25G?

Tom Anderson 105M #524

Hello, and thank you for admitting me, a former Dragon Fly 25 owner.
I am looking for information on what I can only surmise is an MPG fiberglass F25G. It's a days drive away so I'm hoping to figure out if it's worth a look see. The current owner lost the title but said it had been registered as a home made. He doesn't know F-boats but seems knowledgeable of boat construction, epoxy and glass. He says the boat is not cored but solid glass and built in a mold!!??. Maybe a 25A not built to plan or popped off someone's kit boat? Anyhow I'd appreciate hearing anything from anyone that may have a clue as to what it is. It is in the Florida panhandle which sounds like where the F25C was born. That you all for your time. I already asked the F-boat Facebook group without much luck. My Gemini is BORING and find myself jonesing for another tri.

Not solid cored.? There were a couple of glass boats built.? Do you have a listing for this boat for the group to review you can share?

Tom, the F-25C was born in Denver, Colorado by a group of Hobie sailors.

MPG comes from Mike & Pam Guthrie who along with a group of Hobie sailers built around 40+ sets of molded hulls and decks in a shop located in the Denver Colorado area. Most were carbon, but the last couple were fiberglass I had heard. Also Mike and Pam moved to Navarre Fl. after the Denver project ended. Mike passed on some time ago and I don’t know what became of his F25C.
Might try contacting Randy Smyth or Don Wigston at Windcraft as they are both in the area .

I own one of only 2-4 F25g’s which were built by Colorado Composites with the F25C’s. Same mold, but glass not carbon. Extremely well built balsa core vacuum bagged hull and beautiful inside and out. Love the oval bow portholes, looks like a pterodactyl. Designated an F82R, weighs about 6-700 lbs more than an F25C. Owner built it in Michigan with a guy that previously built an F25C. Mine has offset kickup centreboard which is awesome. Aluminium boom and powder coated rig with slugs and a stack pack. Very fast above 12 knots and unbeatable at 15+. People gawk at this beautiful red boat named UnevenKeel.
