I have a copy of the will of Richard GALLY of Catlidge (Kirtling) dated 1742. In this will, he directs his burial to take place in the Parish churchyard @ Halstead, Essex close to his late wife and child. His bequests are all to cousins, namely Benjamin GALLY of Catton, Cambs., William GALLY of Halstead, and Mary LAURANCE, wife of William LAURANCE of Castle Camps, Cambs.. The executor of his will is listed as “my kinsman”, Thomas GALLY of Catlidge, Cambs..

I believe that Richard’s wife was named Elizabeth, and their children were William & Richard GALLY.
