Stephen Tucker is proposing a Young Eagles event on Catalina Island. Stephen said the target date for the Catalina Island trip-Young Eagles event is in the first week of August--either?on Saturday the 7th?or a back-up day in that week. The local people said the weather?in the first week of August is pretty good but that it gets more variable as the month progresses. That date will be firmed up as volunteers for the event come forward. Willing?pilots from #393 need to contact Stephen right away so he can finalize?arrangements with the kids/families, schools, buses, and hotels on the island. As a side note, the?residents are apparently so eager to make this work that they would be willing to take pilots into their private homes if necessary..?
