Good morning, Joe.
No word.? Yesterday we were told that the balloons would still be there as long as the winds were fairly calm., and there are other activities planned as well.? I'm certain that the city plans are still in effect.? We would have problems flying, including several inbound aircraft to help carry YE's.

Thank you for the update. My guys are still planning to come. I’ll be there, too. Matt and Tanner were disappointed that they couldn’t fly last week at Minneola. They don’t mind traveling in MVFR.? Hoping to see you tomorrow. -jo

Friday setup for Young Eagles event at 1600
Fellow aviators,
A reminder for today's (Friday) setup activity at Gladewater Muni (07F):
Those who are planning and able to participate in our setup activities at 1600 today, please join us at the FBO.
Ronnie Godfrey, our Chapter 1656 President and Young Eagles coordinator is asking for participants to bring 10' tarps, a ladder, and safety vests.
The event schedule for Saturday morning is:
0700 Volunteer meetup at the FBO
0745 Pilots/participants (everyone) safety briefing
0830 Flight activities begin
1130-? End of flying activities
We can never have too many volunteers, both pilots and ground participants, so please join us if you're able.? If you have safety vests, 10' tarps or ladders, we'd appreciate your help with those items.

Please don't forget that you have to be EAA Members in good standing and have completed EAA's background check within the last three year prior to flying kids.? Check your credentials to make sure you're still covered and that you're not expired.

Hi!? I’m from the Mineola group, and I’m available to help with Saturday’s event. I also have pilots that are willing to help. Is it too late for them to join in? This event has caught the eye of a huge number of young people in the area, and during our regular chapter meeting this morning Ronnie Godfrey (our chapter president and YE coordinator) advised us that within the first 3-4 hour registration about 160 kids registered to fly!? He had to close the registration due to the immediate and overwhelming response, so we're going to be extremely busy Saturday!
In addition to the setup Friday, we will have a show-up time for 0700 with a pilot/ground team joint briefing at 0745, and a target flight start time of 0830.
We ask that if you can help out Friday afternoon and/or Saturday, please give us a hand!? You'll be fed, provided safety vests (to be returned), and will have a fabulous time!? Yes, it can be quite busy and perhaps a bit tiring, but if you've never participated it is something you'll enjoy!
Thanks for any assistance you and friends can offer.? Please reply to this email blast if you are able to help so we organizers can each get a head count for Friday and/or Saturday.
