Meeting Reminder - 2nd Saturday

I'm sure that the main topic will be the Young Eagles/JROTC event at Gilmer the next Saturday, Feb 15th.

I expect there will be some serious discussion about the DCA mid-air crash and the medivac Lear crash along with our safety meeting.

We had nine members at our January 11th meeting....

Ronnie Godfrey, our chapter Young Eagles coordinator will send info as soon as possible about a YE event at the Gilmer airport (Steve Dean's hangar) on currently scheduled for February 15th, 0900 to fly the JROTC cadets from Gilmer High School.? Show up time, requests for pilots, planes and other volunteer appointments will be addressed in the forthcoming days.

Hi Jim. Working to remove a fallen tree off my driveway I passed out, ?reason ?unknown, apparantly fell on my face on the concrete driveway. Woke up several minutes later and made it back into my house where someone (I think
my step son) where someone took me to ER. My face looks like I’ve been hit by a truck. I have no memory of any of this … Zero.?
I’m telling you all of this to let you know I won’t be at our meeting today. Or maybe yesterday … I”m not sure.?

Everyone please put on your radar that the aviation museum?in Gilmer has requested our assistance with a private young eagle rally for the Gilmer JROTC kids on February?15.? As of right now, they have?about 30 kiddos signed up, so I wanted to put out feelers for pilots. I will be getting insurance requested today and start sending invites to fly. Please make plans to help out in other capacities if you are unable to fly!
