Reminder: No regular chapter meeting at 07F this Saturday 1/13 due to YE flights at Gilmer
Fellow aviators,
Our usual 2nd-Saturday Chapter 1656 meeting has been replaced by a YE event at Gilmer at 0800.? Our chapter meeting was held last Saturday because of the upcoming event.
We welcome volunteers!? Show-up time is 0800 (postponed from 0700 due to weather) at the museum.

After looking?more at weather for Saturday and discussing with the ROTC people, I think it is best that we push back one hour due to the cold temperatures forecast. As such, any volunteers can plan to be at JXI at 0800 and we will start flying?at 0900. Thank you in advance?for helping out and for being flexible. It's going to be fun!

Steve contacted me regarding a YE Rally for the Gilmer High School AF JROTC.? There are 50 cadets and they can be flown in two different rallies or fly all 50 in one rally.? The dates they are looking at is Saturday November 18 or Saturday December 9th.? Steve has offered to have several volunteers on hand and the use of his museum? hangar at the Gilmer Airport.? Through the years Steve has highly promoted aviation in the Gilmer schools offering aviation themed tour for all the Gilmer 5th graders culminating in the re-enaction of the Berlin candy drop and he offers an aviation career day at the Gilmer Airport for the AF JROTC cadets.
