Just want to say hi to everyone. I just aquired a lot#4 ; no. 300
Dalton lathe in very good condition. In searching the internet for
info, I stumbled onto Oldarn.com where I found Dennis Turk who gave me
a wealth of information. I had no idea this machine was such a
celebrity. I bought this one as the main machine in my home shop. It
seems to be a well built lathe.

I look at all the restored Daltons nicely painted and get a little?depressed that mine doesn't look that good.? I use my Dalton for turning Brass and Nickle Silver ferrules so its kinda into a small production mode. Maybe later this year after I have? some ferrules stockpiled, I might have enough down time to make it look all nice and pretty. But in the meantime, I'm producing parts.
