Yes I had been in contact with Herb but he is not
the owner of the lathe he only sells on eBay.? The owner never set any kind
of a price on the lathe but as the auction came to an end he got scared and made
Herb pull it off.? Now you can see what he wants for it.? Herb said he
will not take anything less that $1000 for it so he will be keeping it for a
long time.? Herb said at the beginning he never set a price he wonted for
it but got greedy after the fact.? Hell I got a much better condition
machine exactly like this one with two nice chucks all the change gears and
ceiling countershaft for $143 back in the same state so he is smoking something
odd I think.

I had been watching that as well and was really curious when it was
relisted what they were thinking. For the money the owner is asking now, there are a lot of larger better equipped machines out there - maybe he doesn't really want to sell it. On another note - Is the stand original? It looks more like a drawing table than a lathe stand. Wes |
