Dalton 6 Lot 5 Tailstock

 

Hello All,?

Fairly new to this forum. I recently came into the possession of a Dalton Six type B-4. Lot 5 No 256 to be exact. It just so happens that this lathe is missing its tailstock. I have been scouring ebay and craigslist looking for a suitable replacement but it struck me that maybe someone here has an extra lying around. I would be very grateful if someone had another they had used for parts or something of the sort that they were willing to part with for a fair price. Not sure if this is exactly the place for such a post but figured it was worth a shot.?

Hi Trenton

Just got home today and will look and see if I have any tail stocks left.? May not I have provided a couple for Dalton guys from my parts lathes.

Dennis, I am assuming that you don't have anything laying around? Figure I should double check before I try to retrofit something else onto the thing off ebay.
 

I have not had a chance to go over to my storage building as yet but should do so today.? Not sure I have a tail stock but will look.? I may have a project lathe that will never be finished and will part it out.

Here is a picture of the tail stock I have or should say two that I have.? The one in front is a later model one used on all Lot 5 lathes as well as later model Lot 4 lathes with the two piece end door gear cover.? The one in front is a very nice tail stock but missing the bat handle on the? hand wheel.? I should have one I can include as I have extra ones I got when they were available from McMaster Carr.?
the tail stock in the rear is an earlier model used on the Lot 3 and 4 machines.? I have a barrel for it and it is also missing the locking barrel locking lever and bat handle on the hand wheel.? I should have all the parts to this one also.? Dennis
