Step pulley mount
Hey guys I'm trying to restore a dalton t-l I'm trying to figure out how the mount is.suppose to work for the step pulley I have included a photo of the mount it has grooves on the inside and a slot

Sounds like you have a pair of old Hubert¡¯s patent countershaft bearings. OK the shaft is 7/8 diameter the slot in the bearing block is there so you can install a ring on the shaft as you pass it

You are right on the compound screw being RH Dennis. BTW, Ranier, I'll post a photo of that compound base, screw nut dial and handle I have. You figure out the shipping and customs etc and paypal

So so sorry about your thoughts on right or left hand screws. One has to look at how the screw is mounted. On the cross slide the screw is stationary and the nut is on the moving cross slide. So

Good Morning Joshua OK the cross slide compound slide and tail stock on all Daltons lathes us a 10 pitch acme thread. Cross slide and compound slide screws on all Dalton lathes are 7/16 diameter.
