I Live in Mayberry ?

jhdouglas59

What a startling fact I found out today that I live in Mayberry 2012.

Apparently www.livability.com selected the top 10 small cities in the USA.

Boerne Tx was rated number 4. I guess our local Chamber of Commerce
must have written an essay to promote Boerne.

Strange that the top 10 are compared to Mayberry. Andy Griffith would
be proud. Maybe we should call Boerne hicksville or pokeberry. We
don't have Floyd's Barber Shop; it's hard to find a barber shop at all.
Now we have Great Clip franchises and other franchised hair styling
places.

Restaurants are overpriced and the food and service are mediocre at best. School taxes are out of sight and government services are
almost non-existent. Water resources are very limited and those
persons living in the county outside the city limits are treated
like criminals if they use their own well water.

At least the air quality is very good and our well water tastes
great (at least the amount I am allowed to drink).

Maybe this is Mayberry after all.

I've been to Boerne, HAH!? The only good thing about that place is John and Rose Douglas.? Comparing it to Mayberry and Andy Griffith and Ron Howard is saying it is also filled with commie pinko jerks (best word I could think of without cussing).

Thanks John for sharing.....sounds like a lovely place with a German flair so that must mean some divine bakeries....and some mountains?? wow but I think I will stay right here in the NW GA mountains where it?is quiet and lovely and I can sit by the creek with no neighbors in sight.? The only noise is the grass growing...check it out.....we can be in TN or NC in about 5 minutes too.
?
Lets hear about some of the places where others live too.
