Happy New Year to All. 2008 - 8 means New beginnings and I look
forward with anticipation to this year. 2007 did not start out the
best for me, although it ended with much blessing!
With each new year on Jan 1st, I become one year older. Ugh!
Because it's my birthday today! There's no trying to hide my age from
you all as you about the same age as me! I'm happy to have a
birthday, rather than the alternative!
I have many things to be thankful for as we start the new year such
as I'm working right now (contract job) at a great company 2.9 miles
from my home, a job that was a very direct answer to prayer. At this
point, the girl whose place I was taking, has returned, so I'm just
going day by day and hopefully can work there for a while. It's a
possibility they could find a place for me.
I have a wonderful family, some still back in Dalton, 2 daughters, a
son, 1 daughter-in-law, 1 son-in-law and 2 beautiful grandsons 5 and
3 here with me in the Dallas ara. I will meet up with them later
today to have a seafood birthday dinner. I have many wonderful
friends, a great church, active in a jail ministry, and new doors
that are opening for me to sing both Gospel and Patsy Cline songs.
I also have a home that I enjoy that's in Allen, TX. My health is
good and I live an active, full life.
I'm also thankful for all the reconnecting with old friends and
classmates that has taken place this year, since my trip home to
Dalton last August. It's been amazing and fun! You all have been a
part of that too!
HAVE A GREAT NEW YEAR'S DAY AND A WONDERFUL YEAR AHEAD!
